Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Congreat, a service operated by [company legal name], [company number], of [registered address] ("Congreat", "we", "us"). By creating an account or uploading a document you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

Congreat reads construction documents you upload — contracts, specifications, drawings and correspondence — and produces a report identifying clauses, deadlines, contradictions and commercial exposures that, in our assessment, you should consider before signing or before acting on a live project.

The report is informational. It is produced with the assistance of automated systems, including third-party AI models, and it reflects only the documents you supply.

Congreat does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm. Using the service does not create a lawyer–client relationship, and nothing in a report is privileged.

We do not promise any legal outcome, any recovery of money, any entitlement to time, or that a finding would be accepted by any tribunal, adjudicator or counterparty. Before you sign a contract, waive a right, serve a notice or rely on a deadline, obtain advice from a qualified professional admitted in the relevant jurisdiction.

A report is not a substitute for reading your contract. It is not exhaustive: a document that is illegible, incomplete, superseded or withheld cannot be analysed, and an absence of findings is not a statement that none exist.

You must provide accurate registration details, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and using the service for business purposes.

You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and analyse them for the sole purpose of providing the service to you, and to keep them available to you in your account.

You confirm that you are entitled to upload each document and to have it processed, including where it is confidential to a third party or subject to a confidentiality undertaking. Do not upload material you are not permitted to disclose to a processor.

We do not use your documents to train AI models, and we do not disclose them to other customers.

The first check on a project is free. Paid plans, where you take one, are charged at the rates set out at the point of purchase and are described in the order you accept. [Insert billing, renewal and refund terms before launch.]

You may not use the service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, upload malicious code, attempt to access another customer's data, reverse engineer the service, or resell reports as your own professional advice.

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every risk in a document will be identified.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of contract, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, or indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or [insert cap].

You remain responsible for your commercial decisions, including whether to sign, what to negotiate, and what notice to serve and when.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued provision would expose us to legal risk. On termination you may export your reports for 30 days, after which they may be deleted.

We may update these terms. Where a change is material we will give notice before it takes effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction.
